Has anyone dealt with tinnitus(ringing in the ears) as a TMS equivalent? sarno mentions it in the books. I had it for 20+ years and always attributed it to my being a drummer and having ear damage from loud music. If it is a tms thing, how do you work with the symptom and apply the technique?

Yes, my SO had this and thought it was due to loud concerts years ago. He did the treatment plan--acknowledged and believed it was psychological and not physical--read the treatment program daily to reinforce it in the brain, and journaling work. He no longer has ringing in his ears.

As for all TMS symptoms, the keys are believing it is of emotional origin, and doing the work Dr. Sarno clearly outlines in TDM.

I believe others on this Board have had the same experience.
