Or is anyone familiar with it? My mom's doctor is testing her for it in regards to her "bad hip", and I'm wondering if this is a form of TMS? Or is Osteonecrosis something "real" that needs to be treated physically?

Thanks!

Hi busted, Osteonecrosis is avascular necrosis, which is very similar to TMS in that its a ischemic disorder. While it may be a real physical problem, it doesnt mean that TMS is NOT a factor. There is a lack of blood supply to the bone, causing it to detoriorate. Personally there a lot of factors that your mom needs to determine, but take it one step at a time and see what works and she should take a tms approach with it (ie. continue to do physical activity, think positivly etc), but may need to just modify it to her condition ie - swimming instead of running etc.

Best of luck.

On a side note - in the divided mind there are cases of "bad hips" that have degenerated over time that were infact tms, but once again - they are dr.s and able to make those distinction.

Yes osteonecrosis is a real physical problem and needs to be medically treated. Its good her doctor is testing your Mom for it.
