I was just sitting on the sofa earlier this evening when I noticed (something I have notcied before) that i was sitting with my right hand squeezed between my knees (most of my RSI problems were always on the right side).

I have recently figured out that I think I tend to sit with my hand like this because it gets cold- ie, the circulation is not so good on that side - which ties in with Sarno's theory about the brain restricting blood flow.

anyway I put both hands to my cheeks and guess what, the fingers on my right hand were much colder than those on the left. Interesting, I thought. I decided to try telling my brain to increase the blood flow to my right hand, and imagined the blood going through my veins and warming my hand up. I just carried on sitting there for another five minutes or so, and then I put my fingers on my cheeks again - and the right side felt almost as waarm as the left.

It could be that I was feeling that because I expected, or hoped to - but it is interesting. I've just put my hands to my cheeks again right now, and once again the fingers on my right hand are colder than those on the left.

I consider myself pretty much 'cured' now, I am working full time doing two different jobs, both using computers and both fairly pressured, and my symptoms (when I have them) are mild and manageable (ie i ignore them or go for a run or have a shout and punch things and they back off). I would still, of course, like them to be non-existent, and having noticed this little cold-finger thing, I might try a bit more of the telling-the-brain-to-send-blood-to -the-arms and see what happens. anyway i thought it would mention it here in case it is useful to anyone.

Few years back, my physician adviced me to take a daily walk of about an hour.

Now that I have a 'normal life', I still like to walk but not daily and more like 15 - 30 minutes with sometimes an exception of a long walk.

ANYWAY, walking is so different from sitting and conditioned stuff that comes with, it always makes me feel better, and it always brings a 'good tinkeling' feeling in my fingers, as if blood flow is going frenzy. My fingers become warmer and sometimes even feel swollen.

Sometimes walking is hard. It's not that you don't have the time, but the brain is more addicted to watching a hour of tv or whatever. I think this kind of lazyness is applauded by TMS causing brain activity. Maybe even subsided, as a figure of speech.

Hmmmm...I'm ALWAYS cold. I never made the connection that it could be from lack of blood flow and part of TMS. Interesting.
