Posted - 11/20/2008 : 19:21:02 OK. I no longer think the pain I suffer in my butt is TMS (although I am not 100% sure). However it is psychological.
I actually have written on a piece of paper that various doctors came to the conclusion that my anal pain was psychological. There is no objective cause, in fact nothing physical to suggest anything is wrong.
However... when I had chronic back pain (and wondered, "Could this be psychosomatic?" and then did an internet search, found Sarno, bought the Mindbody prescription from amazon) and cured it using the TMS method the doc told me that back pain was not psychological (he was unequivocal).
So I have medically diagnosed psychosomatic anal pain (that is linked to my OCD). Yet my back pain was not psychosomatic?
How's that for illogical?

Posted - 11/22/2008 : 22:21:55 Oh by the way I am convinced my back pain was TMS.
I am depressed tonight because the anal pain won't go away despite my efforts to follow Sarno's program and OCD treatment (exposing myself to frightening situations).
