Many of you have been filling out the "Think Psychological Survey" at runningpain.com. Some quick observations:
1. More than 50% of respondents are not aware that physical pain (back, piriformis, sciatica, etc.) is caused by their thoughts and the inner stress that is created from their thought patterns.
2. More than 75% of respondents list habitual worry, being overly self-conscious and people pleasing as dominant thought patterns they exhibit.
3. More than 67% state that they "think" a lot in the past & future and hold their feelings inside.
To end the pain in these physical pain disorders you must become aware of your unique personality & your dominant thoughts and how this combination is creating the pain and symptoms in your body. Next you must switch out of these patterns by choosing to direct your thougths in ways that do not create this inner tension within you. This is the practice of "think psychological".
When you focus on how you are causing/generating inner stress & tension in yourself, become aware of it and then redirect your chronic thought patterns to new patterns that do not create this inner stress & tension----You begin to reverse this pain disorder.
This is your work--your "practice". When you do it on a much more consistent basis you will immediately feel the positive effects.
Remember: 1. Pain is always a Signal to become aware of your thoughts and how you are creating inner stress/tension.
2. Stop all physical treatments. And that means even thinking about treatments.
3. Learn your emotional make-up. Practice becoming aware of who/how you are being. Practice directing your thoughts out of tension/stress.
When you practice these 3 keys on a consistent basis you are not in the strategy of the pain disorder....instead you are focusing on the cause (your unique psychological make-up). And this is the Big-Huge inner communication that reverses this pain disorder.
You don't have to do this alone and struggle for the right formula. I have done much of that for you.
