I used to not be able to ride in a car over an hour now just finished moving - took me 29 hours of traveling! Exhausted but face pain hardly there. But my sacrum has been hurting for 2 months. I started yoga 4 weeks ago. 1st time it took over a week to go back, but last 3 weeks I've gone 3 or 4 times a week. It has been awesome. But the sacrum keeps hurting. Also wanted to say i downloaded free audio software at audacity.com and made lots of relaxation/pain isn't real recordings on my laptop. That seems to have helped but my sacrum still hurts. Any thoughts? Is this tms? It never hurt before this summer but I did start walking miles each day and I heard tight hamstrings can cause it.

yep, sacrum pain is "classic" tms... keep doing yoga, but don't push yourself too hard..

I vote tms, you might have tight hamstrings, but honestly - why would you have tight hamstrings for so long? Inflammation period/adjustment period for the hammies should of been done by now. Beside, think about it- NO WAY WALKING MILES can do you any harm. Work through it.

I have back pain/ knee pain. My knee pain has been diagnosed as patella femoral pain syndrome - tight it band etc. etc. Do i have a tight it band - yes. Anytime i would exercise it would be either my back or my knee that would hurt- it was terrible, i felt they were ganging up on me and taking turns. Well, you know what i managed to convince my self about my knee and they have subsided and i do stuff with them that are crazy, repeditive stuff- yet nothing a physical therapist has prescribed has helped. Well, knee pain gone, back pain still lingering. Working on back now, but the point is at the end of the day what the body is designed to do wont hurt it ie. run etc so do it.

Good luck with sacrum pain, but look at it logically and you will get through it - and dont be afraid. At the end of the day, lets say i had abnormalities that caused pain, the other option is give up on things i love like physical activity IS NOT AN OPTION, so I work through it or literally suffer a slow death sentence. I choose workthrough it.

I also have the sacrum, tailbone pain ever since a chiro smacked me down there a couple years ago and twisted my pelvis at the same time.
Not much helps it, except muscle relaxers sometimes do. Its a pain in the butt isn't it. Wish I could be of some help, other people on the board also have or had it and theirs went away, I try to ignore it.

did your tmj just go away on its own?
