Hi,

I'm new here. I was recently diagnosed with TMS and have been reading Sarno's books. I see a lot of people here talking about journaling. Yesterday I wrote a long list of things that I know are bothering me, make me angry or add stress to my life. My question is, do you guys write this same list over and over in your journal every day? Or do you come up with new things that bother you each day?

Busted: important to write how you FEEL about the topic on which you are journaling.
I used the list and when I felt I had sufficiently covered a topic, I crossed it off the list. Felt good! How did I know I sufficiently covered the topic? The anger, fear, etc. no longer was aroused when I looked at the topic.
I didn't rewrite the list. But I'd add to it as I thought of new things.

Write an essay about each and every one of those items as you dissect them completely. How did they happen? Why did they happen? Who caused them to happen? How has it affected you? Would you do anything differently? Is there anything you haven't said that you need to (or would like to) say? Just get it all out on paper. Try and correlate the temporal aspects of your symptoms with the things you are investigating. Try and put the pieces of the puzzle together. Get to know yourself better than you ever thought you could. The end of the road is a very rewarding one (and often pain free), I promise. Good luck!

Thanks! That makes sense!
