Found this little article interesting. This guy is now 113 years old, and the part that stood out to me is that he used to journal daily, now only a few times a month. I bet anything that had a GREAT impact on his emotional health...

Yup, if this article doesn't prove our emotional state affects our digestion, longevity, etc. I don't know what does!

How cool is that. Fried shrimp, definately a no no if you ask a nutritionist or if your chol is high.

Hey funny thing, my cholesterol was always 229 so I tried to get it down by eating real good (very litte eggs and cheese, no sweets, oatmeal- you get it) and that well it did get down to 202 but my ratio was not as good.

The last year I have been eating a soft diet so lots of noodles, mashed potatoes with lots of butter, beans, pumpkin pie, cheesecake like crazy, peanut butter, ice cream, scrambled eggs with cheese almost every morning , anything fattening to keep the weight up- well just had my chol done again and it is of couse 229, but my ratio is way low, HDL higher, and LDl lower and tris are 69.

So I guess I can eat whatever I want , seems the worst I eat the better it is.

pretty cool!
He said he was happy which certainly counts toward a long life. Funny how he likes fried food but no liquor!
thanks for sharing.
