You have come to the right place here - I got plenty support and ideas from people who post here when I first began to realise that the pain I was suffering wes psychological in origin. Like you, my main problem was back pain.
I was becoming less and less able to lead a normal life because of the dreadful pain. It's more than a year since I first read Dr Sarno's books and started posting here. Reading 'The Mindbody Prescription' was one of the best things I ever did, because I can now do all the things that I thought I'd never be able to do again.
I think that it is unlikely that you will be able to find a support group or TMS practitioner. There don't seem to be any TMS trained practitioners outside America. I could not find any in the United Kingdom, or indeed, in the whole of Europe. but, honestly, you probably won't need one - most of us who post here have been able to achieve success by reading and working on he pain psychologically.
Best wishes

Baseball65 gave it to you straight. I think this is the main web-site for the planet. You may find some other sources by checking the links on the Home Page.
The good news is all you need to do for the "cure" is to read and re-read the Good Doctor's books. I assume if you've had pain for 5 years you have had the boilerplate doctor's exams and maybe x'rays, etc. so that the infamous tumor has been ruled out. Don't let them cut you until you've given Sarno a chance.
If you can't find a copy of Sarno's books in Iran, maybe you can download it for about $10 over the internet.
Good luck, you don't have to see anyone, it's all betweeen the covers.

Posted - 12/17/2004 : 13:57:46 Hi Hamid
Can you get a copy of Healing Back Pain or The Mindbody Prscription in Iran?
Reading the books is key, though I've known of people who have healed by learning TMS theory from others.
As far as self help groups......YOU'RE HERE!!
There are the groups that Sarno himself administers, but I think they are for his New York Patients.
Fear not...I've never been in a group(except this one) and I got 110% pain free merely reading the book.
Welcome. You're already on the way!
peace
