Hi all,

well I saw Dr A and he has confirmed that I do have TMS, so now begins the hard work! It was so great to have confirmation of my diagnosis and also know that I can get some extra support from him. He said the main points are to nurture the inner child (not get angry with it), ignore the Judge and start journalling. I'd recommend any southerners who are struggling like I was to get in touch with him - I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Hope this is of use to some of you,

Panda

It looks like he is the only GP although there is a psychotherapist in Yorkshire. And it's good to know he's on the same page as Sarno.

Hi Panda,

Thanks for the update and glad your appointment went well.

I was interested to see that he is able to properly diagnose TMS and may well arrange an appointment. He seems to be the only doctor able to diagnose in the UK doesn't he?

Good luck with your journalling etc

Thanks again
DaveP
