Posted - 12/10/2004 : 08:10:22 In Sarno's books he says TMS can be the cause of metarsalgia/nueroma .I have not read or spoken to people who have had this ailment and have applied Sarno's theory. I have had 2 episodes of back and hip pain which I was able to rid myself of by applying Sarno's theory but have not been able to thwart my latest encounter. I would be greatly encouraged to hear testimonials from people who have experienced foot problems and have successfully been cured |

Posted - 12/10/2004 : 21:27:15 I have experienced foot problems and have been essentially cured for the past 3 to 4 months since I read HBP. I had plantar fasciitis for 17 months and tarsal tunnel for probably 6 to 7 months of that. I went to 1 podiatrist, 2 orthopedists, 1 neurologist and 1 physiatrist along with going to physical therapy a couple of times. After one week of reading Dr. Sarno's book I no longer had to wear the orthotics that I had to wear constantly before. My feet gradually got better and now I am walking and jogging again! My feet still periodically "talk" to me but I am on to them and the pain does not last. Of course TMS is tricky and I have had other issues now that my feet don't hurt anymore. A month ago I had knee pain and I have been having calf pain and shin splints. But I don't let the pain stop me from doing what I want to do. I am still at the gym most mornings. I walk and run through the pain.
Good luck. I know how debilitating foot pain can be. Keep at the work and know that you will prevail. My legs hurt most days after I get off the treadmill and stairmaster but I then go on to do leg weights also! I know that one day soon they will no longer hurt. |

Posted - 12/10/2004 : 09:04:44 I have recurrent pain in various areas of the left foot (and ankle), but I also have left-sided butt and leg pain, so I look at all of it combined as sciatica....Probably not what you are referring to, but I wanted to say that TMS work has led to an approximate 80% reduction in my foot/ankle pain as well as getting rid of the dread and fear of structural problems (and what the future may hold) associated with the pain. |
