I have had this pain in various degrees for several years.
Had it xrayed. DR. said it was arthritis and to take MSN ect.
I could use some encouragement from anyone experiencing a similar
problem and having success with the TMS approach.
 Thanks !!

 donnroc,

I had thumb joint pain over Xmas - presumed it was arthritis as I do alot of gardening - then read somewhere that it could be because you want to strangle someone - true enough, my husband was seriously irritating me by his behaviour, I would have loved to strangle him - anyway, the pain immediately went.

(I posted this a few weeks ago but thought it was worth repeating!)

                | Sam908 | Posted - 04/16/2008 : 07:37:10 I have had basal thumb joint surgery on both hands, to reconstruct the arthritic thumb joints, and it appears to have been extraordinarily successful. However, this was before I discovered TMS, so I often wonder whether I could have avoided the surgeries had I known about TMS. Since then, I have used Dr. Sarno's techniques to successfully deal with other seemingly intractable problems (most notably, severe IBS, foot pain). Too bad I can't go back in time.
