Hey guys,

This is a pretty rare illness not covered in the mindbody prescription, however just wondering whether anyone has heard of any relationship with TMS or whether it can be an equivilent.

Cheers,
Spiro

I don't know anything about sarcoidosis, but a quick search revealed that it's pretty serious and can be fatal.

I think of TMS as a benign but painful or uncomfortable condtion -- it certainly won't shorten your life even if you refuse medications or traditional treatment. From that perspective, it's not a TMS equivalent.

However, I do believe that there is a strong mind-body connection for more serious illnesses as well, and this certainly might apply to sarcoidosis. I would read the Divided Mind -- the authors discuss a number of other conditions that, while not TMS equivalents, do involve a mind-body connection. (For example, I think rheumatoid arthritis is one of them.)

I'm not quick to assume something isn't a mind/body disorder or TMS equivalent.

If cancer, MS ( <-- yes, a TMS doc said it could be), etc. can be a mind/body disorder, why not this one too?

The question is: what emotion could be causing this condition. Do more reading in mind/body (not medical) books. The research is there: cases with people who had these conditions, uncovered amazing things about themselves, did the therapy, and are free of the condition.

I know my mind is more powerful than many ppl think.

Not TMS.
