Is anyone familiar with a chronic cough as a TMS Equivalent? I haven't been able to find much info in that direction. Books?, articles? references? I am asking for someone else... my TMS is under control!!

You put one pan on to boil with water, and in it you put a smaller pan or a bowl with rum.

Once water is boiling, take whole thing off the stove (don't want the rum to catch fire). Put a towel over your head and breathe the fumes. It's absolutely miraculous - several friends have done it.

The funny thing is, I don't drink alcohol at all, but this made me a bit drunk. What fun!

My cough seemed to go on way longer than my flu lasted, and I started to suspect it. On examination I noticed that each time I went into a dry unproductive cough, there was some kind of subtle victimy thought attached. As I noticed this, the significance of the symptom lessened in my mind. I began practicing going right to the feeling when the cough arose.

I also did the "Alcohol Cure," where you breathe rum fumes that you heat in a double boiler. The alcohol disinfects the remaining infection in the lungs faster than any horrible antibiotics. This had a miraculous effect.

So in my case, now cough-free, I felt it was a both/and thing - TMS + a bit of skillful means.

Impossible to say over the internet. If there is a bronchospasm/asthma component, then possibly. However, I would definitely see a doctor before jumping to any such conclusion. Good luck.

Best,

Anything is possible. A constant cough can certainly be just as distracting as any pain condition.
