Posted - 02/20/2008 : 08:11:04 I spoke with a friend of mine last night who is from Sudan. She has worked as a health policy analyst for a huge relief organization and has recently finished a 3 year stint in 7 different African countries.
She told me that back pain is almost non-existent in Africa despite the hard physical labor - including very heavy lifting - people do on a daily basis. (note, we here in NA and Europe sit on our asses all day and get back-pain) She did say, however, that in some countries- such as Niger- there is a common belief that polygamy is an effective way to prevent back-pain. Go figure!
******* Sarno-ize it! Read chapter 4 of Dr. Sarno's "The Divided Mind." Also chapers 3, 4 and 5 in Dr. Scott Brady's "Pain Free For Life" are very important. |

Posted - 02/20/2008 : 11:26:09 this could very well be. in an office sitting all day as a man and be surrounded by women in fashionable clothings. Don't think it has no effect. A research in belgium pointed out that one of the causes of backpain by men is sexual input and no relaese of that. It gets repressed, gets stucked. Sexual energy is very strong. Anyway.
