Every single Experience in you life
Every physical manifestation in your life
All of these started with a Thought.
So that means the physical pain that you experience within the tms strategy started with a thought or thought forms!
The fact that you may have reversed tms--ended the pain, started with a thought --"think psychologically"!
The fact that you may still be in pain and may still be "feeding" this pain disorder is because of your thoughts.
We can discuss the need to "acknowledge and feel or experience or allow" our repressed emotional energy...because yes this is a big, huge, key.
But even that process starts with a thought...and in most cases it means a swithching of or changing of your current thought processes.
This is an important thing to Get! you may say, "I get the whole tms thing...yes I have repressed emotions...yes I need to open up and experience or feel or allow this repressed energy...yes I understand that it is my thoughts that are Doing the repressing...
So before you can Experience or Feel or Allow your repressed energy to open up (Get out of Pain) you Must address the thoughts that are doing the Repression! And that is worth thinking about.
And it is certain to do any of this with any type of effectiveness you must be Mindful or your current thoughts, you must be Aware of what you are feeling, you must have some idea of how you are repressing.

Posted - 02/15/2008 : 03:18:16 If you read Monte's book you see that the goal is the same. Acknowledging /feeling the repressed stuff. Next to the Sarno treatment is now added the mindfulness and moderating the thoughts.
Thoughts are extremely powerful. Thoughts can lift things, thoughts can cure, thoughts can do a lot (internet is full of this). In pure form you are consciousness/information. Thoughts are energy and interact with your mindbody. It would be strange not to integrate them in a TMS treatment. Monte gives a further complementary treatment to Sarno's (and others) treatments.
If you want to journal about an old emotion or repressed stuff you must do so. I did it in the train yesterday for 20 minutes. I dwelled upon it for 30 minutes and dropped it. I would say combine the 2. A day has 16 ours and being mindfull for the rest of the day is better than being subject to useless thinking patterns.

When the rest of you life feels good the TMS problems become less significant.
Has anyone else read it? |

It depends how metaphysical you want to get about things. Maybe things like a sprained ankle - or other tweaks - do begin in the mind. I.e., there may be thinking going on (conscious or not) that distracts you from the task at hand. You could also get into the whole business about the "Law of Attraction.
Then again, some days you just aren't lucky.

Posted - 02/14/2008 : 09:44:31 Actually there are 4 major dimensions in life. Thoughts are 1/4 of the picture. There is also the emotional world, physical world and the spiritual world.
