I had just gotten rid of TMS sciatica for the second time. Then..a deer hit the side of my car. It didn't hurt for a couple of days, then after getting the little quicky massages at the nail salon my back started hurting. It more feels tight when I bend, like the muscles are all in cramped (or something is). But other than that it feels just sore mildly. Back before I knew about TMS, I would have said that it feels like the spine is out of alignment. Maybe this thought is why it continues now two weeks later. Any thoughts? Ever had this?

The fact that it didn't hurt until 2 days after the accident screams of TMS. If it wasn't injured at the time of the accident (which would have been evidenced by immediate pain), I don't see how an injury could materialize over the next 2 days of normal life.

If you're still concerned about it as time passes, maybe an MRI isn't a horrible idea for the sake of ruling serious things out. It's easy for me to sit here and say there's nothing to worry about, but I wasn't there.

Actually, I was very worried about the $5000 worth of damage to my car! Anyway, I sometimes wonder if I should get an MRI. Seven years ago when I first beat TMS sciatica, it helped that my MRI didn't show anything. I am just afraid that it would show something that would make me doubt more. I don't know what to do with that.

Did you feel bad about the deer getting hurt? Or worried for your safety in the car after the incident?

It's not 100% belief that's required, but 100% commitment.
