Hey everyone,

really interesting short 5-minute video: http://sports.espn.go.com/broadband/video/videopage?videoId=3194574&categoryId=2459788&n8pe6c=2

It's about Chris Kaman, center for the Clippers whose play has dramatically improved this year, who was believed to suffer from ADD, but has been able to steady his mind this year through new techniques that make a lot of sense to me after Sarno changed the direction of my life.

Sarno enlightened me to the connection between the way you process your emotions and responses to experiences and their effect on your body and behavior (pain, ADD, obsessions/OCD, addictions, etc., all of which Sarno has seen cured when his chronic pain patients who suffer from other maladies as well has seen his psychological approach unlock THOSE problems as well).

I've since come to see so many elements of behavior that I think are distractions from painful emotions/thoughts. ADD, or inability to pay attention, is a distraction. Your mind finds distractions when it SHOULD and wants to be concentrating.

I'm a college student, and I saw my ability to concentrate in class and conversations go from pretty bad pre-Sarno to normal/really good since Sarno. My mind is just more at peace, and more in the present.

I think heart rate and breathing, which this NBA player learned to recognize as a Sarno-esque symptom, are key responders to Sarno-esque mis-processing of emotions and experiences.

Anyway, I'm curious if others see relationships between this clip, processing of emotions, Sarno, and anything else that's relevant or interesting to you/others.
