I got so excited about this Sarno stuff that I threw myself on the floor yesterday and did crunchies and pushups for the first time in many moons. They were actually fun and easy. But right in the middle of the pushups I got a major cramp in a muscle in the back of my thigh. Never had a cramp in that muscle in my life. I just KNEW it was TMS messing with me. I just stopped my pushups for a minute, started laughing, and then started saying F*** you, brain! F*** you! And the cramp just faded away. I laughed some more and threw myself down for another 10 pushups. I have a touch of genuine good old fashioned muscle soreness in my pecs, from actually using them. I feel better than I have in YEARS. I'm sure it all won't be as easy as this, but for the moment I'm just glorifying in the feeling of NORMAL.

Congrats. I have had similar experiences early in my TMS treatment which I still count as some of the satisfying of my life. It is nice when the theory of knowledge therapy actually connects with the real world experiences. It is certainly a great way to gain further confidence that your pain is indeed harmless...and beatable. Best, Sensei
