Posted - 08/13/2007 : 19:39:54 Hi Anthony, I had burning foot and tongue and a variety of other symptoms years ago that went away within days of being treated for a B12 deficiency. Others here have found their tingling and burning to be TMS related.
I didn't have the tendony feeling you describe, though, but really this was only in one foot -- it was the final in a series of symptoms that ultimately indicated the tests needed. The symptoms of a lot of these neurological things can be varied and rarely do 2 people experience the same thing.
I did a full panel when my TMS symptoms showed up, just to rule things out. We've had at least one person here find their symptoms were caused by vitamin deficiency, with permanent damage done when it wasn't caught. Btw, if you haven't tested yet and plan to, don't suddenly start popping vitamins before your test or you may not get the right answers...keep your exact same diet.
Always play it safe and follow Sarno's advice -- rule out the known physical causes first (or at least in parallel to exploring TMS). |

Posted - 08/13/2007 : 17:00:19 Hi Anthony123,
Yes, people on this board have these symptoms and pain in every other part of the body. You name the body part and someone on this board is sure to have a pain there.
I am more interested in you than your physical symptoms as this will provide clues into what is taking place. What was your childhood like? What kind of current stress are you facing? Tell me about your personality and how you place pressure on yourself. With this information me and other board members will be able to offer you some advice.
******* Sarno-ize it! Read chapter 4 of Dr. Sarno's "The Divided Mind." It's all you need to know in order to recover. |

Posted - 08/10/2007 : 13:14:50 Hi there,
I've had some symptoms very similar to what you're describing, and there are others here too who've described similar sensations. Mine went away very quickly after reading Dr. Sarno's book The Divided Mind and then finding this forum and reading for a few days.
If you use the search to look for the words "burning" or "neurological" you'll find several threads that discuss these types of sensations. There's real hope for you to overcome these symptoms, so don't give up. Learn more about TMS and put what you learn to work.
It's nice to have you here, welcome! |
