Hey -- Thanks for all the replies -- I really appreciate it. Has anyone ever been in pain( back and sciatica) for 4 years and then finally got out of it without having surgery and by following Dr. Sarnos theory? I guess I am looking for some hope.

Thanks and have a good weekend.

Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

I've been working at this TMS stuff for a long time with enormous success. As you may know, some folks with TMS have recurring flare-ups that sometimes catch us by surprise; for me it's usually when I am not paying attention to my psyche.

I recently had a butt and leg pain flare-up which lasted over a year. The last several months were so bad that I could not walk to the local Peets Coffee (and I really like Peets coffee). I was effectively disabled.

I found relief once I ruled out the structural and got back to the basics of focusing on the psychological. The pain dissolved immediately.

When you're in the pain, it's hard to imagine being pain free. The silver lining is that I can appreciate the simple act of walking down the street as a glorious event. I just got back from a long walk with my wife and it is glorious indeed.

Good luck!
