My name is Petar and i am from Serbia.
My problems stared with
burning on urination about year and half ago.Soon
after that i develpoed pain in my left leg and
buttock.I did all possible tests(bacteria
test,prostate exsams,nerves test)and dosctors never
find nothing wrong with me.After a couple of moths
pains spread from left leg to the right too. After that
pain started to go in my perineum. And the latest one
is in my feet and groins. My pains never was severe, they are
always mild but they are so iritating,i think of them
all day long and cant do nothing without thinking of
them. Then very funny thing happend.I love snowboarding
so much,i ride it for seven years. So winter came and i
went to mountains for a vacation. When i sit in my car
in the morning of my trip i had 0 pain. And for 14 days
on mountain i was pain free 100%.I tought it was
finnaly over and i was so happy. But when i came back
home the pains came back too.I was so angry. After that
i went to the mountains two more times and i was pain
free again. But again when i came back home pain was
with me again. That was very strange for me,and for the
first time i suspected that it is pshological
problem.Before i even know about TMS.Then i found The
Mindbody Prescription on the net,and bought it.I found
my self in every aspect of the book.I am a tipical
goodist,i had much trouble growing up since my
retarded country was in 2 very serious wars.My pains
are never in the same spot, they are always jumping
around thru the day(its in the buttock, then goes to
the perineum,then to leg,sometimes to the groin,then
back to the leg,and to the foot.Sometimes it changes
sides, first left buttock, then right leg and ends up in
left foot.Sometimes its just left foot or something
else.Very funny.)Sarno says thet all of thet is
tipical for TMS.So i started to use technics described
in the book. And amazingly after 10 days in had 5 days
with almost no pain at all.Again i was so happy. But
for last 6 days i am in pains again, not so much as
before but they are still here.
So my question is,did anyone of you had ups and downs when you
stared to heal, and is this sTMS?After my pains retuned i started to
think again maybe something physicaly is wrong with
me.
Almost forgot to tell. After i started to use the book
as a cure my burning on urination is gone, but now i
have burning after urination.Very funny again.

Its me again.I wanna thank for yours replays very much, they are so helpfull to me.I started journaling and talking to my mind as you told me and i can say i had improvment again.Pain decrised a lot,but not compleatly. So i need some help again.I want to ask can i write in my journal about same things more than once. And what should i write about my personality traits, since i am goodist and have some perfecionistic traits too.
THANKS AGAIN

Hi Petar,

Yes, it's very common to have ups and downs, and even an increase in pain or other new symptoms appearing.

Congratulations on your improvement. Keep it up and it'll get better.

Petar -- The mind never gives up the strategy to distract from hurtful emotions and it will always try to come back. I was told that by TMS Dr. Sopher and he is so right. It takes a lot of hard work and journaling and re-visiting the "reservoir of rage". Keep doing that and you will conquer it in the end.

Petar,

I used to have the same thing happen with skiing. Whenever I was in the mountains, no RSI. Three days home, and it would come back.

We are soothed by our sporting activities down through many layers.

You ABSOLUTELY have TMS. No doubt in my mind or anybody else on this board.

I would try journaling. You have a lot going on in your life, and your country has had it's issues, too. This is a lot to bear for one 22 year old male. Give yourself credit for holding up so well, and then follow WoodChuck's advice. Ignore it, yell at it, whatever it takes. Don't ever fear it or take it seriously. It's just an expression of a troubled unconscious mind.

Seek the psychological reasons for your pain, and not the physical, and remember - you don't have to solve every psychological issue, just recognizing it is enough.

Regards,

Beth

Hi Petar,

With that pain moving around as it does, completely going away at times, and with all of the tests you've had, I would definitely consider it TMS and ignore the pain. That's what I did since I was close to 100% sure mine was TMS and in less than 2 weeks it went away completely. When I had the pain, I would chuckle inwardly and talk forcefully to the mind like in a movie, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" Focus on the psychological completely and say "to heck with the pain!" ;)

Good luck!

Woodchuck
