Suggestibility I think is part of the TMS personality profile. I know that's part of my make-up. Earlier on whatever doctor I was seeing would have a huge impact on my pain. In fact the ones who were more negative in their prognosis had much more of an impact than doctors that were more positive. It just might be human nature to dwell on for example one bad grade rather than five good grades. I have found it very difficult to get rid of such thinking, therefore when I have pain its easier to think the worse. Its much harder to take out the journal or re-read helpful words. I do try but I many times end up thinking negatively. What have others found helpful to head off negative thinking?
