Does anyone know if Dr. John Sarno's method would work for a patient with Sjogren's Syndrome. Some syptoms are low grade temperature, joint pain, left side swollen face [salivary gland swelling], mouth ulcers, severe acne, extreme fatigue, blacking-out-spells, etc.

I'd appreciate any input.

Hello Choo- Choo
I'm new to this forum and was diagnosed as having Sjörgren Syndrome like you ,however after about six months of numerous tests and scans and specialists my lip biopsy was negative... so the diagnosis changed to vasculitis, this has now been substuted with undifferentiated soft tissue disease.
A friend put me onto Sarno and for the first time in three years i had an explaination for how i feel.I even felt better after reading Healing Back Pain. My aim is to find a practioner in Europe as soon as possible but if necessary i will travell to USA to see someone.
Basically what i want to say to you is YES ....Sarno can help you even if you do have Sjörgren Synd. I would be interested to know how Sjörgren was confirmed in your case.Hope to hear more from you.RICK:

Dear ChooChoo, (love that name).

I'll give you a quick emergency post, since the Round Table Pizza just got delievered, (another big Saturday night in Frisco).

The answer is probably YES! The odds are 80% Sarno's TMS threory will "cure" you of whatever that weird thing the white-coats told you you have. The assumption is that you've already been checked out for tumors and all that good stuff and the docs haven't been able to fix you-only give you an interesting name for it-this is a great conversation starter at cocktail parties.

If all the above rings true, read Sarno's books and then re-read them until you can quote them verbatim. If you're lucky enough to be near a Sarno trained doc, go see him/her.

Good luck ChooChoo, pizza's getting cold. What part of cyberspace are you from?
