my friend was just diagnosed with a meniscus tear and arthritis from an MRI. nine years ago she had srthroscopic surgery on the same knee.she has had no problems till April of this year when she woke up one morning in pain. from April till now she has on and off painf but has played tennis every weekend and when in Chicago this summer climbed sand dunes. she has the personality of someone with TMS and has alot of anger , gulit, and has a sick mother in Florida who she visits often. she started a new job this september. when the surgeon saw the MRI he said SURGERY. she is scheduled DEC. 6th and has decided to stop playing tennis. she also has had many TMS related pain muscle pulls, plantar fascitis, tmj , back pain which she alleviated by reading Sarno's book. but this time she does not want to believe this pain from the tear is TMS related. I know she is going for the surgery but what does any one think about this situation?
