Just saw an episode of the Fraser TV show and he has an attack of TMS. It's his birhtday and his back "seizes up" while blowing out his birhday cup-cake. His assistant Roz suggests that it may be stress related after she read an article in the "Ladies Home Journal". He dismisses that notion as hogwash, (he's a psychiatrist). Roz suggests that he examine the causes of his stress and recite them out-loud in a private place. He does that and his back-spasm is relieved. Someone writing for the Fraser show must be clued into Sarno.

I saw that too! My wife and I were laughing throughout the whole show. Niles suggested that Frasier had some repressed emotions and the back pull was stress-related, not "skeletal." I'd bet a buck that a writer was familiar with Sarno. Very cool.
