I personally believe just to ease my mind that it would be better if I see a TMS dcotor. Actually yesterday I called Sarno's office and they told me that Sarno does not see out of state patients, so I asked if there was a doctor in the Midwest, since I am from Dayton,Ohio, and the receptionist said no. So I guess I am wondering if anyone has seen a TMS doctor from this region or if they know a doctor that would be willing to see me.

Two suggestions:

Ira Rashbaum, MD is listed at the same address as Dr. Sarno. If she is qualified (appears to be if she is on the listing at the wegsite) and you were willing to go to New York to see Dr. Sarno, maybe you could consider seeing her.

Dr. Jay Rosenfeld in East Sandwich, MA was the TMS physician that I saw in Massachusetts. I highly recommend him. There is nothing like the experience of having a doctor review your MRI's and then look you in the eye and tell you that your pain is not from any physical problem but the harmless pain of TMS. If you consider going to New York maybe you will consider visiting New England home of a fairly decent football team.

Check out the Tarpit Yoga site, it has a list of TMS doctors and therapists, I think there's one in Minnesota and Wisconsin:

Have you found anyone in the "Ohio" area yet? I am also looking.
