Posted - 06/18/2006 : 12:33:48 According to Dr. Sarno, TMS pain is caused by mild oxygen deprivation of the muscles. I found that by increasing blood flow to those muscles brings some temporary relief. I have upper-back pain, so I swing my arms and make those muscles between my shoulder blades move while breathing deeply and trying to relax. Sometimes, especially at night, I apply Ben Gay which helps ignoring the pain. |

Posted - 06/19/2006 : 10:33:39 i still use ice for 15 min. then heat for 15 min in the shower on my neck and that helps increase healthy blood flow to the area... |
