Hi all

Since my discovery of this forum 1 month ago., my situation and my understanding of my TMS are getting progressively better. I am having some moments with no upper neck pain that usually last for a couple of hours.... Its a start at least.

However, I am realizing that every morning following any improvement of my situation, pain is coming back with vengence. The process of pain and spasms resurgence is usally begining in the waking phase,(this 20-30 minutes when then body is moving, stretching, when you are half sleeping and not still quite aware of what is going on ... Some people are still intensively dreaming during that phase.

My opinion is that this waking phase is like a nasty playground for the TMS gremlin to mess around with the part of my brain that is accepting TMS and see the progress I am making, because it is a transitional state between being asleep and awake with a dominance of the sleeping state. While my conscious seems to be warmed up enough during that phase to think and process some simple external information (such as interpreting that my position in bed is in a position where I usually feel pain), I also still feel quite confused, having foggy memories of pain from the past days. Then uncontrolled vague impressions of fears are coming back to my brain and then ...

BAM!!!

spasms are coming back and I must start the whole TMS work from stractch, Just like the Greek Sysiphus Myth in ancient Greek Mythology. I am just sick of this.... it is very discouraging

Did anyone experience that kind of thing ? How did you manage that ?

I really need some advices / tricks / suggestions to deal with it.

thanx a lot folks

PS: sorry again for my poor english. I hope I am not too cryptic

Pat.

I used to get severe morning sciatica, usually on the weekend, when I was about to go for a run. A couple of times, I took codeine, and went to the gym, and ran on a treadmill, and it went away. Eventually, it stopped.
