is anyone experiencing neck TMS with the following symptoms:

1) intermittent pain caused by upper neck spasms that are usually triggered by neck rotation.

2) when there is no pain: the feeling that rotating the head on one side is very stiff and difficult

I need to talk to my brain every 5 minutes convince me that the cause of the second symptom is oxygen depletion (cause there is no direct pain at that time) and not an articular problem (verterbal subluxation for instance) that is the CAUSE of the muscle spasms as it is usually aknowledged that being blocked when you turn the head is very often caused by an articular vertebral cause.

It is a bad day for me today, I had no TMS doubt for the last week but I woke up so blocked in my neck, I have difficulties to surrender and accept it today. I would like to hear from other experiences that could help me realize its still TMS.

thanx

Pat.

interesting ...

My neck cracks all the time. It's gas buildup inside the joints that needs to be released. It sounds bad but it is totally benign. There may be a brief pain associated with it but any continued pain is a conditioned response.

The fact that your neck gets "hot" could in itself be a symptom. I do not believe that surface heat is a reliable indicator of blood flow.

thanx a lot Dave for your continuous support ....

My upper neck just cracked very badly a couple minutes ago. And a sharp pain just started after on the site of the crackling... I did laugh at it ... verrrrry hard to do...

By the way, I DO appreciate your interventions ....<

By the way, the fact that the neck is becoming hot during a pain episode is not a sign of blood flow irrigation ? if it is the case is it inconsistent with the blood flow reduction at the basis of TMS theory ?

I've had similar symptoms. Laugh it off and stop paying attention to it.
