Posted - 01/27/2006 : 12:37:28 My pain is exclusive to the right side of the spine right at the tip of my shoulder blade in a dense area of muscle right where the trap covers the rhomboids, etc. The pain is a deep burning ache, and the muscles feel really tight. That is what convinced me to check out TMS. No other pain pattern. No radiating, shooting pain, nothing. And it only hurts like this when I am sitting still for a long time (at work) or standing still for a long time. It just comes on and reaches a crescendo. This pain has been present every single time I have had a panic attack. I can deal with the attacks most of the time by ignoring them because I know they aren't dangerous. I have lingering anxiety symptoms like fatigue and shaky hands, but nothing too bad. I'm starting to get tired of feeling yucky, though. When does this thing lift, for those of you who have recovered with duality of pain and panic/anxiety? Also, which came first for you? Pain or panic? And did your pain abate first or the anxiety?

Posted - 01/27/2006 : 13:03:32 I am having pain and PAnic attacks ....
I had pain and back soreness for 15 years now and many other TMS equivalents such as irrritable bowel and benign cardiac arythmia.
My panic attacks began 3 years ago when my wife was pregnant. This is when I started to have arythmia. These heart irregularities were so frightening at first it started to trigger panic attacks very fast.
Since then, Panic attacks are coming and going. Ativan is working very well to calm them down ...
All of these are just TMS laughing at me .... You need to be decided and 'show your brain who's the boss'. In my modest opinion, that is the only sustainable way back to life ....
