1) When I am talking about repressed feelings out of the blue, just to talk about it because I feel the need to talk about it, it increases my pain by a factor 10.
2) when I experience pain first and I am thinking about how I feel on the spot ... It usually reduces my pain ....
Any comments on that ?
Pat.

As you talk about the feelings they start to percolate to the surface and trigger more pain as a distraction to keep them repressed. So this indicates that you are talking about very relevent issues in your emotional life and need to continue to work into the issues more fully. While you are talking imagine how you may have repressed rage and validate that rage. This will help move it closer to consciousness.
You may be able to win over TMS w/o the psychological work however simply because the symptoms modulate readily with conscious thought and fully accepting the TMS theory.
