I am thinking seriously of getting an appt. with Dr. Sarno . Could any of you who have seen him tell me the nearest airport to fly into New York and an idea of driving time from the airport to his office . I have to fly from Fl. , and it would be great to meet him before he eventually retires. From what I understand from other posts, he will examine an out of state person , but one cannot be a extended patient. Thanks.

Mary ; Dr. Scott Brady is a TMS Doctor in Celebration , Fl. , just south of Orlando. He has TMS sessions every few months, and the next one is around the first week of March . He has a website that you can access through Tar Pit Yoga and go to TMS physicians or, I believe it is Dr. Brady@BradyInstitute.com . His telephone no. is 407 876-1888. Dr. Sarno cured Dr. Brady of his TMS maladies. Good luck.

Hi,

I was thinking of trying to see Dr. Sarno but would really like to see a TMS doctor in Florida. Any ideas of how to locate? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Mary

Thanks for the replies , excuse the late response . Dave , your post did bring some sense into my idea. I will see a tms doctor by the name of Scott Brady probably in March . I'll let all of you know how it goes. He does give exam , lecture, and followup which is very important.

If you are going just for an examination, you should really consider if that is worth your while (and money).

The examination is very predictable and described very well in the book. You will most likely be diagnosed with TMS and instructed to follow the treatment suggestions in the book. You will speak with Dr. Sarno for awhile but probably won't learn anything new.

If you are unable to participate in the lectures and follow-up meetings, or be available for referral to one of his therapists if necessary, then you cannot really benefit fully.

You probably would fly in to Laguardia or Kennedy, and the shuttle, train or cab would be 30 mins to over an hour. Lag. closer. The cab could take you right to his office, it would be less than 45 minutes. But allow for traffic!

... haven't seen the doctor personally, but I live in NYC and am familiar where his office is located ... I'd fly into LaGuardia Airport, and take a taxi. Leave yourself at least an hour to get there, depending on the traffic. Will cost approx. $50 with toll/tip ...
