His lecture is also on tape and it is the exact same thing he gives to his patients.

His Video/DVD lecture can be ordered at: http://www.healingbackpain.com/

Thanks. I think the videos might be more persuasive that the book alone. I am convinced of the theory, but I guess not convinced enough to apply it fully to myself.

I am curious as to what you thought of Dr. Sarno’s manner. I realize he is obviously a very clever guy and has been under criticism for years. He is also very busy and at this point is likely practicing as a labor of love. I spoke with him and found him to be a bit gruff. I am curious if he is like that when one sees him in person or if this is just his outside world phone manner. Or perhaps he just has to resist answering questions in detail; otherwise he would never get off the phone.

Are the lectures available on tape/cd anywhere?

The exam lasts about an hour. He will perform a physical examination and talk to you about your life. He will give you an overview of TMS highlighting the most important points.

The lectures are in the evening. Not sure what his schedule is these days, but he used to devote one evening to the lecture, another evening to the group meeting. If he is not giving the lecture tonight you will be asked to return next week.
