Ok, I had an interesting experience lately that firmly drove into my mind that TMS is completely real. I got really worried about a finance situation and it completely stressed me out. I got sick and could barely move for 3 days until the situation cleared. Then it was almost miraculous the difference in my health! It was like having days and days of horrible weather and then waking up to bright sunshine... That erased all doubt for me.

For me, I 'understood' about TMS and it made sense but I still didn't "GET IT" in the bodily sense. I needed the "See! SEE!" experience to drive the message home without a doubt.

I have a horrible problem procrastinating and avoiding things until it's too late - that's the big thing I need to change. If I just tackle things as they come up, I save myself alot of stress in the long run.

The thing I need to figure out now is how this relates to issues that are 'deep buried' and have been causing me back pain. I even know what started some of my issues but how do you get rid of it?

It's great to have a sort of "internal breakthrough" where the whole TMS thing starts to make sense, isn't it? The key to recovery from TMS is changing how you respond to stressful situations, rather than waiting for them to go away. There will always be stress of some sort, whether you are dirt poor or as rich as Bill Gates (though not necessarily the same stress, naturally...). That's why, though sometimes life changes are necessary to beat TMS, more often it is learning how to recognize, process, and deal with emotional stresses rather than letting them fester and lead to repression and TMS.

Good luck to you!

Relating to what you have written, don’t you have the feeling that very big award in lottery will terminate your TMS? I mean by possibility of changing almost all around you.
