Hi all,
I haven't gone away, I still come here daily and post when I can. I have a new set of symptoms. My back stuff is relatively in good control now after almost a year. Now I am having bladder issues whereby my bladder feels full and I have to go a lot, and I went to doc and urine culture was 100% perfect, no issues there. I also am having excessive gas, way more than ever before. I know I get gassy when I'm nervous and I can't put my mind on anything specific that I may be nervous about but nonetheless I am a worrier so I chalk it up to that in general. I read Sarno's and Siegel's books last night for bladder and bowel and they say the only time you'll have these issues is if you have Caudal Equine disorder which doesn't sound like me. I am beside myself with this bladder and bowel stuff. Any help out there?

i believe my years of bladder pain/urgency/frequency were TMS. after my hysterectomy the pain simply moved.

Yup, that's what I figure Dave. It's all TMS related. COuld be hormonal but I doubt it. I am generally an uptight person so this is typical personality stuff. Thanks guys.

Any autonomic function is a potential TMS target.

Urinary tract, digestive system ... both are candidates.

Hi Maryalma8,

I had the same thing for several months over a year ago, needed to urinate, but there was hardly any urine and no pain when I did (so not cystitis, which I had had for real a few months earlier). I had multiple tests and none of them showed anything conclusive. In the end my doctor said that it could just be general inflammation and there was nothing that could be done. When I think about it now I realise that when that disappeared my RSI pain came on fully. I feel certain that it was a TMS equivalent, it's just too coincidental.

Mary,
I had this exact same thing a few weeks ago-the urgency to urinate. It seemed it only happened when I was out of the house. Clue #1 that it wasn't anything. I pretty much didn't make an issue of it and I just realized when you posted, that it was gone.
By the way, with Cauda Equina Syndrome, one doesn't feel the urge to urinate. You have no control at all.

Michele
