I'm wondering if anyone has been in a car accident where their body felt alright getting out of the vehicle, maybe got some sore shoulders the next day, but then a couple weeks later, got sore lymph nodes, or a fever, or chills, and peripheral nerve pain in the legs? I had the strangest leg pain for a couple of weeks that felt sort of burning and then turned into random stings of pain and then went away. Did my nerves just get really shaken up from the psychological effects of the car accident, or could it perhaps have been some weird injury?
I'd appreciate any suggestions. |

Any kind of serious scary accident or life risk situation will give you a dose of post tramatic stress disorder after the fact. Its unnerving. You have repressed your fear, and now its trying to get out. Let it go! Get it out of your system and your TMS-like symptoms should resolve.
I used to be a firefighter and have been involved in all kinds of things I wont get into here. After returning to the station after the call, we often hung around and re-talked (several to too many times) thru the event to vent and get closure. That's the only way you be somewhat normal in the days to come.
You can't keep it inside.

I read in Dr. Selfridge's book that people often discover that they have Fibromyalgia (TMS) after car accidents. Maybe this is the same type of thing?
