Posted - 12/05/2005 : 05:39:52 I really appreciate hearing that someone got over restless legs by using Sarno's techniques. I have a feeling that restless legs will become the new "reflux" in the media - meaning that now that it is in vogue, and medication is being pushed for it on TV,that more people will be talking about it. This is precisely what Sarno talks about in his books and lectures. I know that it is common in "fibromyalgia", which I had been diagnosed with many years ago. So what I am saying is that, I know at some level in this brain that restless legs is just another manifestation of TMS, but it is hard to not buy into the new idea that it is due to some disruption of the dopamine in the brain, etc, etc. which is why they are pushing dopamine agonists. I know that I am VERY suggestible and prone to FEAR. What happens for me at night when my legs autmomatically start needing to move at night is that I let the feeling of fear overtake me, and I forget my resolve. I keep taking the dopamine agonist (mirapex or requip) and then the next day I kick myself for not having the strength to stand up to what is clearly a TMS equivalent. I especially want to stop the dopamine drugs because the drugs themselves can cause a worse problem with rebound. When I went to Dr. Angelov he told me to stop them but I keep going back to them. Any more feedback would be appreciated.
