I'm curious what people think of the Sarno videos. Do they contain any information that's not in the books? From the website, it seems like just a regurgitation of what's in Healing Back Pain and Mindbody Prescription, in $90 video form. Unfortunately, my library network doesn't have them.

I agree with the above replies.
Although, the movie is never as good as the book. The books force you to absorb more in a thoughtful manner, and teaches more about the .....pathology of TMS.
The tapes however, are a relatively quick, and easy study/review guide of the principles of TMS. They are also something you can look at when you are just too tired to read, or add to your list
Visuals of the good Doctor as well as some folks like me are interesting too.
But most of all, if someone asked you "If I could help ease your pain for $100, would you do it?" I couldn't say "no" to that offer.

Good luck for a speedy recovery!

I know they are working on a dvd also. I have contacted the people who make the VHS tape and they are in the works of the dvd. They asked me if I would like to be put on the waiting so I would be notified when it came out. That was about three months ago, so I am waiting for a response. I'll let you all know when I hear about the dvd.

Sean,

I agree with Susie. I was reluctant to buy it at first because of the cost but it was every dollar. I relate it to my school days of reading info out of a book vs having a presentation done. The presentation always helped me understand the topic better. The best thing about the tape is that it comes with a step by step study guide that he distributes to his patients for you. The big criticism about the books from the Amazon.com readers is that there is no concrete action plan. The plan is in the books but it is not step by step which is something that the guide resolves.

The video is fantastic. I picked up alot of extra information. Every time I watch it I learn something new. Sarno has a very reassuring way about him which is helpful to us tms sufferers. I thought is was also helpful to listen to the patients. Like this board, they had similar stories, but they also had a face with the story and I found them to be very credible. For those of us who cannot see Sarno, this is the next best thing. IMO it was well worth the cost. I would have gladly paid double.
