My 23 year old daughter began a new job yesterday. I was not really surprised this morning when she called to tell me she ran a fever last night. She has changed jobs several times and almost always gets sick the first week or day of a new job! She will also have tummy troubles this week. I told her about what i've been reading about the mind/body issues and I think it applies in her case. I also know i tend to "come down with something" around Christmas, which has been a stressful time to me due to my husband acting like an ass at my family gatherings. I am deeply sad that this year there will be no family gathering, as my mother is too ill.

Prior to knowing about TMS, my back "went out" two Christmases in a three year period. I missed two family Christmases. In addition, the first day on a new job a year ago, literally the first day, my back "went out". So the proof is in the pudding.
