There's another saying I heard years ago: "If you cant fix it then use a bigger hammer".

That somehow sounds an appropriate analogy too.

You know, I can't help but think of that old saying that goes something like "If the only tool you have is a hammer, the whole world looks like a nail."

It's like, the medical community can only treat your "problems" with diagnoses, drugs, and surgery. That's the only arrows they have in their quiver. So the whole (painful) world, MUST need diagnoses, drugs and surgery.
