A couple weeks back there was a thread about doing psychotherapy over the phone long distance. I know at least one TMS therapist's name was mentioned, but it was exceedingly expensive and my funds are limited.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience doing therapy this way, and could compare it to the 'in person' version. Someone familiar with Sarno and the TMS process would of course be preferable but it would have to be done by phone consult as to my knowledge there's no such person within hundreds of miles. On the other hand, there would be obvious advantages to being in the room with a therapist you connect with, such as the more intense personal interaction and not being able to hide your body language, which can say a lot. Probably less expensive too. I am leaning this latter way, hoping that I can find someone local that's into to mindbody connection.

I'll be discussing therapy options with my family doc next week. Experiences anyone? Thanks.
