Has anyone read Dr. Sopher's book? I can't find it at any libraries and I don't want to buy it unless it is worth the money.
Thanks.

I also liked his book. I ordered it in paperback from Barnes and Noble. I also had him as my TMS doctor. Unfortunately he has moved from NH (my home) to Vermont. As far as I know he still sees TMS patients in his new practice, if there are any Vermont TMSer out there who are looking for a doctor.

I went to his website and downloaded it. A lot of pages but well worth it. He writes chapter by chapter about pain in different parts of the body like a chapter on back pain, neck pain, headaches, fibromyalgia and has a good sense of humour. It's easy reading.

Hope this helps.

Hi Sadiesue -- I liked Sopher's book. I downloaded it for 5.00 -- too much paper and hastle -- then I ordered my son a paperback copy from Amazon (I think) or it might have been from Dr. Sopher's website. My review is the same as jades' -- Dr. Sopher has a little different perspective as a GP and he explained the (possible??) origins of TMS in an interesting and understandable way. He also is a marathon runner and an athlete and my son could relate to him.

I have read it and thought it was good. I don't recall any new information but it was good for me to read another doctor's opinion. It just kind of confirmed what Sarno said. I ordered mine from Amazon using the Acrobat Reader for $5.00. It took a lot of time and paper to print it all out but I thought it was worth it.
