I've been battling TMS related mouth issues for awhile. Has anyone experienced a sandpaper like feeling on their tongue and upper pallette? When this happens, I also get tiny red spots on my tongue. Sometimes it scares me, but hopefully I'm correctly chalking this up to TMS.

Steve,

Yes, I've had all sorts of TMS related mouth conditions, very similar to what you describe. I've had what they call "burning mouth syndrome" but I know it's TMS. Many others have complained of the same thing on this board. I've also broken out in white spots which they call leukoplakia. Now, leukoplakia is a precancerous mouth condition and is commonly seen in smokers. I am not a smoker. I do not believe I am going to get mouth cancer. I think if it persists then get it checked out. If nothing comes up, then I would simply treat it using the TMS strategies. Good luck!

Laura
