This is a new book by Dr. Sarno that is expected to be coming out before too long. (I believe the release is scheduled for April 2006.)

Does anyone know anything about it?

Hi,
Just checked into the board to see what's up with folks because I'm avoiding some studying and essay writing I ought to be doing.

And guess what. I am not in pain! Haven't been in pain for over two years. So, booyah!

Okay, all childishness aside. If you're gonna slam something like that onto the board, you ought to have the maturity to at least use a user name.

Gee what a coincedince! I spent 18 years of horrable pain and went througt the medical world of thousands of wasted $'s ,treatments, x-rays of all types, surgery, untold days and weeks out of work.A friend told me about Dr.Sarno on 20/20,I saw the tape, read the good book, saw Dr.Sopher got cured in several weeks!I returned to running,a full active life, including lifting very heavy objects without fear.I have several herinated discs. No more pain, doctor visits, wasted money!I have introduced many other people to the process,(who have an open mind) and got the same results.Just pot luck or pure coincidence??? I also believe the doubters want the pain for a varity of reasons, but do not and are afraid to admit it.They would lose their excuses for not performing in life up to the standards they and their family expect of them,so the easy way out is pain, with no guilt! Believe in the system or live with the pain, the choice is easy. Pain free,Paul.

"Agree the quacks on this board will make Dr. Sarno richer Sarno is not well respected in the medical profesion my doctor gets a chuckle out of him and his TMS garbage.

Do you think Sarno will include these letters in his new book

Proper lifting and sitting will give you a better back as you get older I wont be buying the book"

Well thatis your opinion and your opinion is respected around here. I posted about Sarno on healthboards and webmd and my post only stayed up for about ten minutes tops. People are so closed minded when it comes to Sarno. If your not willing to accept his theory, than it will NOT work for you, plain and simple. When 20/20 did a special on him, he was more than willing to open his records, and the people at 20/20 called and checked up on these patients at random and proved Sarno's 90% success rate. What more proof do you need. Now follow up with people who have had surgery, you may get a 5% success with pain relief, but everyone that I know who has had back surgery is in the same predicament. Sarno does work in rehab medicine and has had patients who were confined to beds and wheelchairs and know they are running, jumping, etc. So what if Sarno is writing a new book, that's probably because he has more insight into the syndrome.

I'm here because of the success I've had. Read the books four weeks ago and am just about pain free. Over two years with limping back, hip and leg pain. It is unbelievable and yeah, it works. Another reason people are here is because they continually practice the theory.

JJGold:

I went to that link. I know that board well. Do you know why it has no positive comments on Sarno? BECAUSE THAT BOARD DELETES POSTIVE COMMENTS OR THREADS ABOUT DR. SARNO, that's why. I know from personal experience. Not only was my positive Sarno thread deleted, I was BANNED! I still can't post on that site. But what do you know, all the negative comments are left up. Oops. (note: the site is funded by a hopsital)

Dr. Sarno is the head of NYU Hospital's pain institute. You know, the one in NEW YORK CITY. Has been for years. He is widely published and taught in Haravard. He is hardly a "quack". The recently deceased Anne Bankcroft, acadamy award winning actress, has endorsed Sarno for years. Don't think she needed the money, she was married to Mel Brooks since the 70's.

Sarno cured my back pain. Why can't you get that? It has been two years, it's not a placebo. I was diagnosed, via MRI, with some phony baloney "annular tear". Annular tear my foot. I come to this site because I find the discussions fascinating, not because I am suffering. I feel great. Some here do have a few relapses, but they are generally far better than they were before reading Sarno - and most people are completely cured and never even come to this site.

If Sarno stresses you out, go to another site. We love the guy here.
Go buy another back contraption or get some more steroid shots. As for N/A, Dr. Sarno is in his 80's and has helped thousands, have some respect. What have you done to help humanity, loser?

Note to new members and visitors: Sarno's books are very enlightening. Don't assume one way or another, positive or negative, just read with an open, neutral attitude. What do you have to lose?

Not all of "us" are still in pain. In fact, many of "us" are doing much better due to Dr. Sarno's work. What negative rock did you crawl out from under anyway?

Oh, no. Not this again. This has been a negative week on this board. Please, no more of the negativity. Let's remain positive, shall we?

I heard from Dr. Sarno himself about 1.5 years ago that he was working on a new book to be called The Divided Mind. However, I do not know anything else about it. I have been keeping an eye out for it, but I have not heard anything. Amazon has it listed as coming out in April 2006. I was curious whether anyone has heard anything else....

Dr. Dubin told me about six months ago that Sarno was trying to get a new book published and was having some difficulty. It sounds like it's coming soon and that's great news! I'm starting to wear out the pages on the two books I already have!

Amazon has it listed for release in April 2006 but no other information other than the title and author.

No, and there's no information in Google. How did you hear about it - from Dr Sarno himself (you're a patient aren't you?) - in which case, it sounds like you're in a position to know more - please tell!
