I posted earlier; but basically been having non-stop acid reflux and gastritis after a deep massage/adjustment for what a doctor thought was a hiatal hernia. However, CT scan shows no hernia but gastritis/inflammation in the abdomen; testing showed no h.pylori infection, but still having really bad symptoms since. Can gastritis/inflammation with no apparent structural/bacteria cause be TMS?

Also, per my subject line - the thing that's hardest for me to shake is these symptoms started after I had a deep massage/adjustment in my abdomen. Can TMS latch on to certain "procedures" as causes?

i had gastritis as an equivalent of TMS. At one point when I did not treat it appropriately (psychological) it developed into a Gastric ulcer and put me in the hospital.

I see it as definitely a mindbody situation and it sounds like you are handling it well. My 2 cents is that you should continue to keep your doctor involved to make sure it doesn't escalate. I occasionally will still use acid blockers while I get a hold of what the true cause it
