Posted - 12/03/2018 : 08:47:36 Many people who are stuck should see a TMS professional. Here's a PAIN CLINIC in the beautiful state of COLORADO that practices in the TMS methodology of Dr. Sarno's, "Knowledge Penicillin". It is not yet listed on any of the TMS board's resources or links referral lists--if you see them or have seen them, please give some feedback.

$2,800 to be cured of TMS in two days, that's the bargain of the century!--and they throw in a massage to lower your "reservoir of rage" too--I love massages! If I were near the clinic I would check them out in person and not listen to nattering nabobs of negativity like Alix who has NO first-hand information.
You can take the recommendation of a tennis player for what it's worth--

Really?
A massage therapist in a TMS "clinic"??!?
TT -You keep recommending books, providers, videos, TMS doctors. You are sending people on the wrong path. The way to healing is not to read yet another book or seeing another TMS expert.
It is one distraction after the other. |

Posted - 06/23/2019 : 08:44:16 Here's an example of the reception Steven Oanich got when he first came to the TMS Help Forum :
"...he's spammed every thread about his book nonstop. He's not a physician and has no medical training. He apparently owns a record label and majored in business. (Clearly) His posts look like thinly veiled sales pitches to me, which is fine if they could be kept to one thread. Why can't we have a "Buy My Stuff" thread and those who want to follow him can simply post there, leaving the forum an open, free discussion among people without agendas?"
Seems simple and fair. Just my opinion, but it's cheapening the forum.
*********************************************************************************
Here's another example of Nicole Sack's reception at this forum on announcing, of all things, a TMS book "THE MEANING OF TRUTH", at a TMS Forum :
Nicole's value to this forum would have been proven (and hopefully may still be) if she'd been given a chance to help. She was attacked from the start and was never given that chance. She did nothing different here any different then all the other TMS "experts" do, linking to their websites, books and materials. And, I find it shameful that her "expert" TMS colleagues here did not speak out on her shabby treatment here. It was just a matter of xxxxx not liking her style--she spoke from the heart and didn't window dress it with Hollywood slickness.

Posted - 06/23/2019 : 00:03:09 Give them a call and talk to them, I did and they sounded Sarno legit to me. If I were near them I would go in a heartbeat. How much have you spent on chiro, mri's, supplements, voo-doo, from A to Z ??? There's a long history at this site of attacking TMS authors and practitioners when they had the temerity to come to a TMS site introducing themselves and their new TMS books, Steve Ozanich and Nicole Sacks for example are two who were attacked as "book mongers" and having phoney Amazon reviews! They are now both respected and beloved writers and practitioners in the TMS community. I took it upon MYSELF to reach out to them to vett them and apologize for the bizarre reaction by some members of the board. It's a reaction that some TMS sufferer's unconscious have to the possibility that there may be help out there to rid them of their TMS psychological defense mechanism that is their PROTECTION. |

Posted - 06/21/2019 : 23:00:38 How much has TMS cost you in years of suffering? How much does a hip-replacement cost? How much is one visit to the ER cost? One day in a hospital room? TMS'ers seem to value their lives very little when it comes to paying for anything that would really help them. The unconscious fears getting "cured"--therefore gets very cheap when it sees the "cure" may be in sight.

Posted - 06/21/2019 : 22:18:53 $2800!!! You've got to be kidding. Must be pretty intensive treatment to cost $1400 a day. What are they doing, a lobotomy?
Really, the price sounds way out of line. What could they possibly teach you that is not already in any of Sarno's or other's books and You Tube videos? Must be magic because nobody changes their life in a two day seminar. Reminds me of the old Werner Erhard est training weekends, which also promised the world in a weekend. Buyer beware. |

Posted - 06/04/2019 : 09:30:47 Hi Beth,
Thanks for checking into the Pain Cure Clinic in Colorado. http://paincureclinic.us/about It was in the winter of 2016 that we met at Naples I believe. I'd just driven my Jeep cross country, on old US HW 50 through the January blizzard, found the sun in Florida, and dropped the top for a month touring the tennis tournament scene, then back cross country through the blizzards of February. I sent you a PM through this site with my number if you want to discuss your TMS in some more detail, wondering if it came through? I think you get copied to your email but the addresses may be out of date since you haven't posted here in a while.
Yes, it's a hunk of change for the program, but if it changes your life in two days that would be a bargain when you consider how much your pain has cost you in four years. They may have a payment plan or a sliding payment scale. Thanks for your feed-back that they are Dr. Sarno legit! That was my impression also after researching and talking to them directly--it's hard to fake the TMS talk and the walk. PM me and I'll give you a call if you want to chat. I went through CO. a few months back on my way to Texas.
Cheers, Tom |

Posted - 06/03/2019 : 15:31:06 So I DID contact the clinic today.
They certainly sounded sincere. They have a two day program that is quite pricey, but all three practitioners have cured themselves of TMS through the Mind Body approach.
I was a little dismayed at the statement that "Dr. Sarno's books and programs are a good start." I personally feel that after treating people successfully for 17 years, Dr. Sarno did a heck of a lot more than just provide a "good start".
Also, they do some deep tissue massage on the 2nd day, which as we all know, flies in the face of "repudiate the physical."
I don't have any reason to believe their testimonials aren't real. John told me personally about the gentleman from India who quit being a programmer to become a stand up comic. The practitioner, John, told me when he saw him on Skype 30 days later, he barely recognized him because he was so happy.
With the $2800 price tag for the 2 day course, it's not something I'm in a position to do, and even if I was, I think I'd spend the $2800 making true changes in my life, like a new location, career, etc. HAVING SAID ALL OF THIS, I'm not a proponent that one has to make big changes in their life to become pain free. Then again, in my case, why ignore the obvious.

Posted - 06/01/2019 : 12:42:51 Hey Tennis Tom. I believe I met you way back when you visited SW Florida. It was over 10 years ago!
Anyway, I'm sorry to say that I am having a 2nd bout with TMS, in a new body part. Believe it or not, it took me 4 years to figure it out. Talk about a slow learner!
Anyway, I now live in Denver, and plan on visiting this clinic. Perhaps this will clear up the validity question once and for all.
Cheers,

"The Pain Cure Clinic was literally created through trial by fire, as we and loved ones tried desperately to find a way out of chronic pain. Frustrated by a medical community entrenched in treating symptoms, but not the root cause of our pain, we starting looking for another answer — and found it with the Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS) diagnosis and treatment. Our coaching program is based on the principles of Dr. John Sarno - updated with a more tangible and practical approach that incorporates general wellness."

Once again Alix you prove you have NO idea what you are talking about! Unlike those at the other site, I personally contacted the clinic and found them to be sincere and reputable. By your repeating scuttlebutt, you are undermining chronic sufferers who would avail themselves of the TMS clinic in Colorado--you have done NO personal research, only repeating hearsay. It's a weird phenomenon of TMS message boards that certain members sub-c's lash out at genuine TMS practitioners and authors--I've witnessed this weird phenomenon with SteveO and Nicole Sachs--who were attacked and reviled when they innocently came to the TMS boards to introduce themselves announcing their new books--they were accused of being "book mongers"--now both of them are dearly beloved and respected members of the TMS community--people are funny!

Posted - 12/05/2018 : 19:06:25 The other posters did NO personal research! They only objected to a testimonial. I called the clinic personally and talked to them and found them to be a genuine TMS clinic. All you have to do is READ their website to see that they practice in the methods of Dr. Sarno. TMS message boards have a terrible history of defaming TMS authors and practitioners. Do you remember the derision that SteveO and Nicole Sachs received here when they dared to announce their new TMS books--it was HORRID! Now they are both well recognized and beloved TMS authorities at the boards. Where were YOU when they were being defamed? I was reading their books and calling them directly to verify their TMS cred--it's really not that hard to vette TMS'ers, they are few and far between on this planet, they are pretty easy to verify and there's not much money in it--most sufferers need their pain for PROTECTION, and throw the books at the wall or reject the TMS theory immediately.
Do your own research before you spread misinformation. Have YOU called the clinic? I have. I also called SteveO and Nicole Sachs when they came under fire and defended them. Did you? If you are so concerned with correct TMS information being disseminated, then please contribute in a positive manner rather then coming here once in a blue moon spreading second hand misinformation. Call the clinic and report back as to what they say.
