Posted - 02/11/2018 : 16:03:09 I hated chocolate when I was a kid. Truly hated it. Funny thing, I no longer hate chocolate; in fact, I think I might be slightly addicted to it (I'm 62 now).
I started in on chocolate just a couple of months ago, around Christmas time. I work at a church office and parishioners bring in lots of goodies during advent. So I started indulging a bit.
Soon thereafter I started having first mild but then pretty severe jaw pain. All along I thought, yep, TMS, but didn't associate the TMS with anything in particular.
About a week ago I stopped the chocolate eating, and funny thing: my jaw pain went away. So I thought I'd try an experiment, went and bought some chocolate today and ate it. Yep, you guessed it, the jaw pain started up again.
I am going to beat this TMS pain because I know what it is: It is my inner child screaming "I HATE CHOCOLATE!"
Any thoughts? |

Posted - 02/16/2018 : 13:19:06 absolutely! I am a heart centered hypnotist. this is exactly what I believe causes most events. we have an experience in childhood, we make a conclusion about it and behavior (based on the age of the child) and then we continue to follow that behavior into adulthood when it no longer serves us. you have a fabulous opportunity here to solve this, if you choose to do so.
I hope that didn;t come across as an advert for services, it wasn't :-)
Peace and good luck

Very interesting aversion! First chocolate hater I've ever heard of, it would be interesting to trace it's origin--may have come from infancy, even the womb. Maybe hypnosis could uncover the dark chocolate incident--Dr. Sarno mentions in his books that hypnosis can be a TMS tool. Perhaps you were frightened by a Willy Wonka movie?
The TMS gremlin works in mysterious ways, sounds like it wants to make you guilty and suffer. In any case, I'll take your share of the chocolate if you're not using it.

Posted - 02/13/2018 : 21:00:00 I have not had any experience with jaw or tooth pain, there is a lot of past discussion on it though. Maybe some guilt along with the anger. Good that you had it pegged. |
