Posted - 05/25/2005 : 15:13:16 I have experienced shoulder pain in the last few days in my right shoulder. On sudnay evening, my shoulder felt like it went out of the socket and then right back in. The pain did not start until about 4 hours later. I have dealt with TMS in the past in my lower back, hamstring, and left shoulder. I wanted to check with some of you and see if you have ever experience a shoulder issue like I have described, and determined the pain to be TMS related. I know TMS is stress related and I should add that I have my first olympic distance triathlon on memorial day. I feel like I can complete the swim, but the stress with this small amount of pain just seems to make it worsen as each day passes and gets closer to the race day. Any help or advise would be greatly apprecaited. Thanks, Mike |

Posted - 05/26/2005 : 04:12:10 MZ, I woke up yesterday and this morning with really bad right shoulder pain, involving the muscle that is just above the bicep. Not sure which that is but it connects to the shoulder. Mine is not coming out of the socket, but this a new pain for me and I am certain it's TMS finding a new home to reside in, since my lower back is doing better. I am pretty sure it's going to try to hang on unless I can get around it with the self talk, etc. I am going to try my best to not get too concerned about it, meaning obsessing on it, or it WILL get worse.
